Mr. Lewis is a Vice President with Goense & Company. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lewis worked for Bainbridge Ventures, a Michigan-based private investment / advisory firm which focuses on the lower middle market companies across a variety of industries and Winona Capital Management, a Chicago-based, $120 million private investment firm specializing in lower middle market consumer products and services businesses. While at both Bainbridge and Winona, his primary responsibilities included evaluating potential investments, structuring transactions, leading due diligence activities, negotiating transaction and financing agreements, and managing portfolio company investments, including actively working with company leadership on a variety of operational enhancement initiatives, financings and acquisitions / divestitures. Prior to joining Bainbridge, Mr. Lewis was an Investment Banking Analyst for Banc of America Securities in New York City in the General Industrial Group, where he concentrated on mergers, acquisitions and debt and equity capital raising activities.

Mr. Lewis graduated from Kalamazoo College with a B.A. in Economics and earned an M.B.A from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Entrepreneurship and Accounting. Mr. Lewis also studied at l’École Supérieure de Commerce in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
