The Goense & Company team includes two successful operating executives and two experienced private equity investors who have worked together for several years on precisely the type of smaller middle market business service companies being targeted by the Partnership.

John Goense leads the Partnership. Mr. Goense has a twenty-year career in private equity and has previously led three successful groups. He is a Managing Director of Goense Bounds & Partners L.P., a $225 million private equity fund which he co-founded in 2000; he previously led the private equity groups of Heller Financial, which he founded, and Allstate Insurance. Erik Bloom has a sixteen-year career in private equity and has been working with John Goense since 1996; he is also a co-founder and Managing Director of Goense Bounds. They have invested a combined $200 million in 16 companies; realized investments have yielded 4.0x invested capital and a gross IRR of 34%.

Greg Miller has been an entrepreneur and operating executive for twenty-two years, including the last eleven with CrossCom National, a Goense Bounds portfolio company of which he is CEO. Mr. Miller continues to lead their respective companies while serving as Operating Partners of Goense & Company. Goense and Bloom are each Directors of both USBS and CCN.

In addition to the Partners, Gary N. Lewis is a Vice President of the firm. Gary has been involved in smaller middle market private equity since 2002 with Bainbridge Ventures and Winona Capital Management and has several years of investment banking experience prior to entering private equity.
